Mind, body and baby is a company that offers Personal Training, Sports Massage and Baby Massage.
Specialising in Pre and Post Natal, and Weight Management Training.
It is the brainchild of Laura Vale, a Personal Trainer, Massage Therapist and Baby Massage Instructor.
I started my career in the health and fitness
industry in a gym, as most personal trainers do to gain experience. I
was frustrated by the approach that many gyms and trainers adopt
towards training people to get the results and goals they set out to
gain.
Most would only address one factor of
personal training – exercise. A few would also bring nutrition
into it, but very few recognised the mental aspect of it too. Anyone
adopting a new regime must be 100% committed and agree to their
programme before starting or it will only end in disappointment. Which
is where the Mind and Body comes into it.
Baby massage is a fairly new addition and all
came about from personal experience. I had seen the benefits that
massage has on adults and was very intrigued in what it could to for
babies. I have found my nephew is much more relaxed overall
and loves a massage, especially when he had colic as it helped to
relieve the pain. He also started sleeping better after massages, which
I know my sister really appreciates!
What Mind, Body n Baby Offers
Personal Training from a complete approach.
We are a mobile business who comes to your house
or place of work for a 60min workout that has been designed and
tailored to suit you, your lifestyle and your goals. How many sessions
per week depends on you, but you will need to agree to workout on your
own if you are having less than 3.
We will help you with your nutrition and write a plan if needed, again this is tailored to fit in to your lifestyle.
Sports massage
Sports massage is also mobile, we will come to you with a massage bed.
Sports massage is important in promoting
functional muscles, especially when you have suffered an injury. It
helps to build and repair new tissue and iron out existing knots so
your muscles will work to their full capacity.
Baby massage
6 week course, you will learn a new routine every
week, including one to help colic, until your have learnt how to
massage the whole of your baby’s body.
Attend one of my classes in your area, have a one
to one course or host a course; if you are an existing group or have a
group of friends then host a course at your house.
